Black Children’s Books Read Aloud is a platform on YouTube that can be used as a resource for educators and parents. The channel also serves as a platform to highlight the incredible work of black children’s book authors. It is understood that kids of color need diverse books because so often they do not see themselves in literature, and therefore feel marginalized, even invisible. Black Children’s Books Read Aloud seeks to close that gap and create a space where black children feel seen.
